Below are no-cost Open Educational Resources for teachers and administrators to access and adapt in online learning environments.
The Los Angeles County Office of Education has partnered with the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) to create a unique PBS-LACOE Toolkit so each district and charter within LACOE can have access to Pre-K-12 digital resources. These resources are aligned to California's state curriculum and can assist all of our districts and schools in bridging the digital divide and providing equitable access to students, during these unprecedented times.
Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) has generously spent time with LACOE's Center for Distance and Online Learning team to respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic with broadcast programming and online content. This partnership is designed to keep Los Angeles County informed, by supporting families and educators with continuity of learning at home.
The PBS-LACOE Toolkit provides curated lessons, learning goals, and connection reflections to their accompanying educational programs.
Online Student Lessons, Resources, and Experiences
Engage and motivate students with an online toolkit comprised of teacher lesson plans, resources, and online experiences. This comprehensive toolkit is CA Common Core aligned especially curated by LACOE's Curriculum and Instructional Services. Please explore as these downloadable and customizable resources have been designated by both subject areas and specific grade levels (TK-12).
Professional Development Resources for Teachers and Site Administrators
The purpose of this online toolkit is to provide resources for both teachers and administrators. These resources can support administrators in facilitating evidence-based professional development opportunities. While teachers would be able to utilize some of the resources to align or make connections in promoting student success and academic achievement.
